Join the Tungsten West Limited (TWL) team as company representative within the local community to further develop the understanding and awareness of the UK’s flagship metalliferous mining project at Hemerdon Mine.
You will have experience of mining, heavy industry and associated environmental and social issues or related discipline degree. You will also have experience in local needs analysis, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, the ability to disseminate technical information to a range of audiences and knowledge and an understanding of effective communication techniques to engage with all project stakeholders. Experience of managing corporate social media accounts will also be considered advantageous.
Key in this role is the requirement:
To develop stakeholder mapping, assessment and grouping of stakeholder roles.
To be responsible for the Community and Stakeholder Relationship Strategy and engagement interface to ensure joint execution of the mine strategy with the project team, to include:
Stakeholder Register, and
Public Interaction Register.
To analyse the performance of Community and Stakeholder Relationship Strategy and identify industry best practice and best available techniques for effective communications in support of ISO14001 implementation.
To update and maintain Social aspects of the ESG Risk Register.
To update and maintain Social and Community engagement contributions to the Tungsten West website.
To be accountable for the successful delivery of engagement performance, including monitoring against KPI’s, auditing, assuring and checking quality of outputs.
To raise and if required escalate stakeholder risks and opportunities, working with internal teams and company directors to seek effective resolution.
To be responsible for arranging community engagement events to further engage audiences.
To manage stakeholder communication forums, to include:
Parish Council meetings, and
Social media
Assisting the Tungsten West team with other relevant work as required.
We are seeking candidates eligible to work in the UK, with a relevant degree or qualifications and a UK (or equivalent) car driving licence.
