Join the Tungsten West Limited (TWL) team working on the mine re-start through being a key part of the team undertaking the feasibility study and taking the Hemerdon Mine back into commercial production. You will be a graduate mine engineer with at least 10 years’ operational experience in metalliferous mining projects. Preference will be given to potential candidates who have knowledge of short and long term open pit mine planning alongside pit optimisation and design. Key in this role is the requirement to:
Work as a professional, upholding the standards of best practice at all times
Work in a responsible and safe manner as a key member of the TWL team
Help develop and drive the mining efficiency of the Hemerdon deposit
Be a cornerstone member of the team to take the project from project to production
Drive a sustainable approach to mining in line with ESG best practice
Integrate mining with the optimum geological and mineral processing strategies
Assist in building and be a key leader and developer of the mining team
Liaise with third party contractors and drive best possible outcomes
Develop and take ownership of long and short term mine planning
Liaise with the mining contractor to develop optimum fleet requirements
Develop D&B strategy and oversee tender process for contractors
Oversee the design and development of necessary civil and enabling works for the restart
Assist in the development of an optimised MWF design with key stakeholders
Establish and develop a full range of best practice mining procedures
Analyse and Interpret results and provide written reports as required
Liaising with the feasibility study team and other relevant departments as required
We are seeking candidates eligible to work in the UK, with a UK (or equivalent) car driving licence. The successful candidate will be happy working in a dynamic, hardworking environment and integrating with and assisting the broader project team. Candidates should be computer literate, physically fit and happy to work outdoors in all weather. A Mining Engineering Degree, previous experience working in operational positions is considered essential, and membership of a professional association is highly desirable.
