We've taken a different approach. This is what modern mining looks like.
Tungsten West plc is listed on the London Stock Exchange's AIM market. We own and operate the Hemerdon Mine at Drakelands, South Devon - one of the world’s largest tungsten resources - and we're bringing it back into full production.
Tungsten West acquired the site from the former operators, Wolf Minerals, in December 2019 with a clear intention: to learn from what came before and redesign the operation from the ground up.
We mine, process, and produce tungsten and tin concentrate from one of the most significant mineral deposits in the Western world. We do it responsibly, transparently, and with a long-term commitment to the communities and environment around us.
Britain imports every tonne of tungsten it uses. As global supply tightens and Western governments scramble for critical mineral security, Hemerdon represents the UK's best and only answer. We're here to deliver it.
Hemerdon Futures
A clear plan, delivered in stages, by people who know how to execute.

Get the foundations right
Before breaking ground, we commissioned a full feasibility study, redesigned the process plant, secured every required permit, and put a fully funded restoration bond in place.

Start with what's already there
Over US$300m has already been previously invested in the site by the former operator, including crushing circuits, site offices, power supply, and access roads. For a project of this scale, that is an extraordinary starting position.

Reach full production
Refinery trial production was completed in Q4 2025. Capital improvement works are underway. Steady state production will be from Q1 2027. Each milestone is a step toward the steady-state operation the feasibility study maps out.
The people delivering it
Tungsten West is led by a team with deep experience across mining, processing, finance, and stakeholder management. These are the people who will take Hemerdon through construction to full production.
